So I finally got to watch the Superbowl at a reasonable hour and with the intended adverts. And, sadly, THAT half-time show. I forget who won now (was it the Bears?). Just kidding sports fans, I very much like American Football but it’s not been easy to watch in the UK since they took the Channel 4 show off-air in the mid-90s. Does Jerry Rice still play?

Anyway, of all the adverts on the day, this was my favourite. Completely bypassing the discussion of the car itself, this is great storytelling that captures the heart, imagination and pride.

Groupon clearly caused a lot of offence but I wonder if we’d all have laughed a bit more had Kenneth Cole not jumped the shark with its Cairo PR fiasco a few days ago?
